We will depart from the hotel and drive to Arusha National Park. You will then start your climb up to Miriakamba Hut, along the way you may come across wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, monkeys, buffalo, and waterbucks. You will trek through the lush rainforest and grasslands before arriving at Miriakamba Hut. We will stop at the Miriakamba Hut where we will spend the night, you may explore the surroundings after arriving.

Today we start with breakfast and then start the trek to Saddle Hut Camp, the trek today is short but steep. Once at Saddle Hut if you are up for it, the trek to Little Meru can be completed. Your guide will recommend going to sleep after dinner tonight as you will have a midnight wake-up call to start your summit.

We start the trek to the peak of Mount Meru at around midnight. The Socialist Peak is the highest part and the summit of Mount Meru. You should be prepared for a difficult and strenuous hike in the dark with your headlamp to assist you. As sunrise comes up you will be arriving at the summit for truly breathtaking views. You will soon discover that this is one of the most underrated treks. As you descend in the daylight you will be able to witness the astonishing views the mountain has to offer.

After the summit, you will descend to Miriakamba Hut for a hot lunch, and then to Momella Gate. Your vehicle will be waiting for you at the Momela gate to take you back to your accommodations
