To be able to show you the best of Tanzanian wildlife and culture. Tanzania is a country that is an abundant and diverse land.

The northern circuit route for safaris in Tanzania is made up of four national parks and one Unesco World Heritage Site, all unique and offering something special. All tours start from either Arusha or Moshi.

If you want to experience the lesser travelled parts of the country whether it is the Mwanza region at Lake Victoria, the southern circuit, or the western circuit. We can always assist with arranging these, off the normal circuit routes.

Serengeti National Park

  • This park is known as “the endless plain” which is what the word Serengeti translates to

in the Massai language. Often a favourite, it is a must-do experience while on safari. This is where the large wildebeest migration occurs where over a million wildebeest and zebras move in the area to find better feeding grounds. This behaviour brings out a great opportunity to spot the big predators as well, including lions, cheetahs, hyenas, leopards. The short grass found in the central part of the park allows for excellent spotting of these animals.

  • A unique experience that can be done here is a sunrise hot air balloon ride

Ngorongoro Crater

A unique World Heritage Site is the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will see

the Ngorongoro Crater. Here you drive down into the world’s largest inactive volcanic crater caldera. Inside the crater, there is a large concentration of animals to be found all within a small area, which makes this a great place to spot the big 5. A highlight of the crater is the chance to spot the endangered black rhino, which due to the small size of the crater is frequently seen.

Tarangire National Park

While this is a lesser-visited park in the area, it is well known for the massive elephant

herds that can be seen here and the huge baobab trees. The Tarangire River that runs through here brings many animals to the area especially during the summer/ dry months of July-October, in which there is the migration of elephants and other animals in the area. Also, it is well known for being a wonderful birding destination.

Lake Manyara National park

  • –  Located between the western slopes of the great rift valley and Lake Manyara here you

will find a large diversity of birds, with there being over 300 different species of birds in the area, including thousands of flamingos. The lake is a shallow alkaline lake, which can be visited all year round, although in the wet season almost 2⁄3-thirds of the park can be covered by the lake. The famous tree-climbing lions are also often found throughout the forest here.

  • –  A unique experience that can be done here is walking safaris and a canoe safari, allowing you to get out of the safari vehicle to explore the area on foot.

Arusha National Park

  • –  Only a 40 min drive from Arusha city, this park sits at the foot of Mount Meru and its lush forest area. The park may be smaller in size compared to other national parks but is famous for its black and white colobus monkeys and the blue monkey. Momella lakes located in the park can often be seen full of flamingos.
  • –  Here you can opt for a hike through the forest with a ranger or canoe on the lake.
